God has been laying it on my heart to be a servant. My biggest clue to that was
when he blessed me with a job as a waitress - it was something that I had done
previously, but never thought I'd do again. When I heard about Shear Hope, it
was when Jade Clark was asking me for prayer in her situation of doing an event.
Seeing her go through from beginning to end was such a blessing. She transformed
into a beautiful person... not just when she shaved her head, but all the way
from the beginning stages, to following through with what she felt lead to do.
She inspired me. I've always had a heart for helping people and now I get
to help people in desperate need, who are suffering, and be a servant to them
for just a moment. I get to provide a bit of happiness and a bit of hope to someone
who struggles with something I have never experienced. Through this, I hope that
I, too, can become just as wonderful and precious as Jade did in other peoples
eyes and inspire them to help others as God has called us to do.
